Arabic Learning FAQs

Real questions about learning Arabic — answered honestly, no marketing spin.

Honest timelines: the alphabet takes 1–3 months, basic reading 4–6 months, and holding a simple conversation 6–12 months with 3 classes per week. Understanding Quranic Arabic well enough to follow the meaning takes 12–18 months of steady 1-on-1 study. Anyone promising "fluent in 30 days" isn't being honest.
Quranic Arabic is the classical Arabic of the Quran — about 1,400 years old, very precise and rich. Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is its modern descendant, used in news, books, schools and formal speech. We teach both as one connected language: MSA for speaking and writing, with high-frequency Quranic vocabulary woven in from early levels.
Sarf is Arabic word-morphology — how words are built from three-letter roots. From ك-ت-ب (k-t-b, "write") come كِتَاب (book), كَاتِب (writer), مَكْتَبَة (library). Nahw is Arabic grammar — how words join into correct sentences. We teach both through examples and speaking, not dry theory.
